Bill Ladson of MLB.com reports that the Nationals are still in the running to sign Carl Pavano.

He anticipates Pavano signing with a team shortly after the holiday season.

Pavano has been linked to the Nationals and Twins. He had been linked with the Brewers before they acquired Zack Greinke.

Pavano is coming off a successful season in 2010 with 17 wins and a 3.75 ERA for the American League Central winning Twins.

Pavano is rumored to looking for a deal in the 3 year $30 million range.
