Orioles Offer to Adam LaRoche Reported to be 3 Years 21 Million

December 20, 2010
Jen Royle of MASN had reported last Friday that the Orioles had offered Adam LaRoche a deal in the area of 3 years 18 million.

This morning she is reporting that the Orioles are upping the offer to around 3 years 21 million. This would still seem to be a bargain in the current economic landscape of baseball.

Orioles Offer Adam LaRoche 3 Years 16+ Million

December 18, 2010

Jen Royle of MASN is reporting the Orioles have offered Adam LaRoche a 3 year deal in the 16-18 million range. This would be a bargain if LaRoche can come near the 25 HR 100 RBI season he posted for the Diamondbacks in 2010.

Nationals Interested in Derek Lee?

December 12, 2010

MLB.com is reporting the Nationals have expressed interest in signing Derek Lee. Lee said he expects to come to Spring Training at 100%. If that happens a typical Lee season of 20 HRs and 80+ RBIs is likely. The Nationals are also said to have expressed interest in Adam LaRoche. Rumor is LaRoche is looking for around 10 million per season. Both Lee and LaRoche would probably command similar salaries but LaRoche is 4 years younger and would probably be more motivated to hold out for a longer term deal.
