| Buster Olney of ESPN is reporting the Yankees may sign Martin to a deal. It seems unbelievable that Martin was poised to be a cornerstone of the Dodgers for years and now he appears to be gone. Reports also state the Red Sox and Blue Jays have serious interest in Martin. |

| Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle is reporting Hideki Matsui is on the verge on signing a one year deal with the Athletics. With the loss of Jack Cust to the Mariners the A’s are in desperate of a proven DH. Deal is expected to be announced today. |
